Video Details...
I was thinking about the film today and realized that we don't really have a detailed plan on what the film is about.
Let me try and break it down for you.
There are some specific things that the film will be covering.
- Cliques.
A major part of the movie will be about the cliques that make up the Adolescent Society. We'll get personal views an opinions from members of each one.
- Teen Violence
This includes bullying, gossip, exclusion, rumours, self harm and suicide. We'll get personal opinions from both sides. (The ones causing people harm and the ones that are victims of it.)
- Friendships
This will be expressed throughout the video as the friends around me come and go.
- Relationships
Coverage on the ups and downs of teen relationships, how they affect people and their friends, parental rules, fights, sex all the bells and whistles. Again, we will get personal views and opinions from people that have been in and out of relationships.
- Substance Abuse
Coverage on alcohol and drugs- why people do it, how often people do it and what happens when people do it too much. Personal views and opinions included.
- Parents.
Basic coverage of the stress and annoyance parents pile on their teenage kids- probably won't have have too big a part in the film.
- School.
Yes, being a teenager doesn't just mean fucking around and screwing yourself over numerous times. Most of us have to go to school and school is one of the main causes of stress.
The film will also include little bits and pieces about music, fashion, trends, our odd vocabulary and basically anything else that comes up. We will have a set of questions that we will ask people from each of the cliques and we will get personal opinions form people about everything. EVERYTHING.
So here's where we need YOU.
Come up with some questions about any of the topics above so that we can find your answers. What is the point of smoking pot? What's your opinion on the gossip and rumours circulating around the school? Do you like having a job? Ask anything about anything.
Thankss xxxox

Winter Break Approaching...!
With winter break just around the corner, members of the adolescent society are all but shitting their pants in utter excitement. Crappy Christmas songs play quietly in the background of every shop and store placed in our tiny shithole of a town called Vernon, commercials about last minute Christmas gifts set parents on edge and twinkling lights and festive decorations hang from every tree and building across the country.
For most, the holidays represent happiness and family get- together's. Endless amounts of turkey, gifts to be given and received, snow, lights, sugar plums and all that other shit. For the Holiday Humbugs, Christmas is a tedious event filled with annoying songs, obnoxious decorations and bitter Christmas mornings usually spent alone.
For teenagers, however, the holidays mean something completely different. While parents are out buying santa's gifts, paper and bows, the members of the adolescent society are out with their friends smoking drugs, drinking alcohol and sleeping the days away in a warm bed. For the more callow and civilized group, the holidays are spent drinking coffee, dressing in proper winter attire and buying small gifts for each one of their friends. Although in most ways, the two groups are different, there is one thing they both have in common.
Sleep. The average teenager will probably spend more than half of the winter holidays sleeping, and not regret a single day of it. Why? Because this is what we do. School, work and the Social Scene are all tiring subjects, and will especially take a toll on those who deal with them every day. Winter break means no homework, no work and no bullshit whether it be between you and your friends or you and those people you hate.
Parents, don't complain about us being lazy fucks. Kids, don't waste your time wondering how we can stand to spend so much of our time doing nothing. It is what it is.

P.S. Video will be out sometime this week! Keep your eyes open!!

Video!
So Caileigh and I have decided that we're going to make a couple of videos explaining the film idea. We're hoping to make it viral in that people actually know why we're doing it and some people other than our close friends will be excited about it. The Youtube account we will be using is AudaciousAdolecent (Indeed, I spelled "Adolescent" wrong. Give me a break xP) and the video will be posted hopefully sometime in the upcoming week. We'll introduce ourselves, leave a couple of links and share some important information about the movie and other cool stuff ;) Keep your eyes out!

An Introduction
So right now you know that I am planning on making a Documentary. Amateur? Fuck yeah. I'm not doing it alone. I've got a couple of good friends who will often appear in the video as well as behind the camera. The goal is to capture the everyday life of the different groups of teenagers. These groups include the "B&D" clique (The Bitch and Doucebag clique) which mainly consists of the perfect, skinny rich people that walk around like they're better than everyone else, the "Nerd Herd" (Kind of mean, but sadly true) which contains the kids that hang out in the computer labs descriptively chatting about video games and Youtube videos, "The Outcasts" which is a name that includes the "Stoners", the "Emo's" , "Scene's" and anyone else that doesn't fit into a specific category, and last but not least, the one group that we can't figure out a name for. We would call them the "Bible Thumpers" because of their show of complete disgust when it comes to anything considered a sin (i.e. Doing drugs, having sex, swearing, using Gods name in vain etc...) But not everyone in the group is a total bible thumper. Hmm. Lets call them the Callow Clique. Don't get me wrong, they're all generally nice people, I mean it's not like they're walking around trying to shove their religion up everybody's ass or anything it's just... the fact that they're all 15/ 16 years old and are scared of everything. Partying, alcohol, boys, you name it!
Okay, got a little off track there....
The point is, I want to go to each of the groups and ask them some questions. I want at least 10 of them. And I want them from you! I want you to tell me what you want to know about today's adolescent society. Substance abuse, vandalism, rebellion, it's all up to you.
Now I know at this point in time, VERY few people know that I'm doing this. That is why my good friend Caileigh and I will soon be posting a video to youtube with more details on the video. I'll let you know once it's up!

Why I'm Here..
Hey. So in all honesty, I highly doubt anybody will be reading this. And no, I'm not here starting a blog simply because I can. I am here in the favour of my latest project, a documentary about Teenage Life. People portray us as stupid, annoying, useless members of society, when in reality, teenagers take a lot of shit in high school and just about anywhere else. Sure, we don't pay the bills, we don't have kids or full- time jobs, but that doesn't mean we have no responsibility whatsoever. We have school, we have friends, we have relationships... all these things that we feel the need to make a fuss over. Adults think we're overly dramatic and rude. Kids think we're scary and intimidating. So really.. what are teenagers?
This is where the film comes in.
See, I have a completely different view on The Adolescent Society (A term I think you should get used to- basically refers to teenagers) and the problems that come with it. While all of the people around me are getting into theatrical and rather classic fights where every sentence starts with "Ohmigod, I thought I could trust you!" Or "Our whole friendship was a lie!" I'm standing in the background, watching from all angles. People that lets themselves get involved- take it upon themselves to jump in and get affected by whatever is going on, are basically digging themselves a grave. They win the fight- the person they were fighting hates them for all eternity. They lose the fight- and the person they were fighting for as well as the people they were fighting against, all hate them.
So really, there's no way to win. So why let it affect you?
Okay. Next topic.
Did you see that girl sitting by herself in the hallway? Or that boy in your English class staring vacantly out the window? What about that group of guys snickering at the kid that knew all of the answers?
Why am I asking these questions? Because these are the people that I pay attention to. And why? Because they all have stories. They all have reasons for acting the way the way they do. You may say no to some of these questions. Why? Because you're the girl sitting alone in the hallway? Because you're a part of the group of kids making fun of the "nerd"? Or is it because you just don't care... you're too enveloped in what you have going on that you don't pay attention to the sufferers, the dreamers and the aspiring successors.
So anyway, back to the film.
I've begun planning for it now, and I am currently saving everything I make at my job at one of the local Tim Hortons to buy a video camera and movie editing programs fit for the job. And not only that but I need permission to film in the school and basically anywhere else I plan on going.
What am I filming? Everything. From drugs, to alcohol, to friends, to every thing else the average teenager spends their time doing.
Think this is a good idea? Gimme a shout. Readers or not, I'm going to be here posting as much as I can so that when I get somewhere, people can look back to these and realize that I started a lot sooner before most people do. Started what you may ask? Well you'll just have to find out...
